The head of state noted that friendly relations with Madagascar are built on the principles of equality and respect. Half a century ago, when Belarus was part of the USSR, it already provided support to Madagascar in various areas of socio-economic development.
«I am convinced that revitalizing mutually beneficial cooperation fully meets the interests of both countries, and I confirm my readiness for dialogue at all levels,» the president emphasized.
Aleksandr Lukashenko pointed out that Belarus has successful experience in implementing projects on the African continent aimed at ensuring food security, and offers Madagascar cooperation in agricultural mechanization, healthcare, education, and in the military-technical area.
The Belarusian leader considers it important to strengthen contacts between governments and business circles in order to give a new impetus to bilateral cooperation.
Aleksandr Lukashenko wished good health, happiness, and success to Michael Randrianirina and peace and progress to all the people of Madagascar.
