The main focus was on the operations of the region’s agro-industrial complex and related industries. The Head of State received a detailed and thorough report on the progress of the sowing campaign in the Mogilev Region, the current activities of meat and dairy processing enterprises, the establishment of raw material zones to fulfil their needs, as well as the situation in certain districts concerning the implementation of previously issued Presidential directives.
The discussion covered the work of major regional dairy producers, such as Babushkina Krynka and Molochnye Gorki, and the progress in constructing a new dairy processing facility in Shklov with a capacity of 300 tonnes of milk per day.
Given the expansion of existing and the establishment of new processing plants, the allocation and effective use of raw material zones was addressed separately. By the end of the five-year plan, the Mogilev Region aims to substantially increase milk production to reach 1 million tonnes annually.
A separate section of the report addressed the situation in the Dribin District, which the President visited on March 13th. During the visit, several instructions were issued concerning the district’s socio-economic development. The focus was made on agricultural production, including the consolidation of farms, increasing livestock in both dairy and meat sectors, and building and upgrading dairy processing facilities. According to information presented to the Belarusian leader, plans have been formulated to expand the district by incorporating territories from neighbouring districts, which would double the number of agricultural enterprises. These changes are anticipated to further stimulate the development of the Dribin District.
The report also included information about the renovated Shklov District agricultural service company, which now features a modern facility for repairing agricultural machinery. The President directed that this facility be made exemplary and serve as a model for other regions. The Mogilev Region Governor reported on the progress in fulfilling this task.
Additionally, the topics of recruiting and supplying managerial personnel in the Mogilev Region were addressed, using the Shklov District as an example. It was noted that, in general, agricultural enterprises are staffed with management personnel and receive the required support from the regional executive committee level.
Regarding the sowing campaign, the President was informed that it is proceeding as scheduled. There is a slight delay, but farmers anticipate catching up soon. Agricultural organisations have adequate supplies of all necessary items for the spring fieldwork period, including equipment and fertilisers.
