Lukashenko sends Independence Day greetings to Vietnam

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended greetings to General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President of Vietnam To Lam as the country celebrates Independence Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

«The historical path traversed by a sovereign Vietnam has tempered and united the people and the party into a single, strong state,» the message of greetings reads.

The president stressed that Minsk attaches great importance to its strategic partnership with Hanoi and counts on maintaining the momentum of contacts through new projects and initiatives in trade, investment, science, technology, and humanitarian cooperation.

«I hope to discuss with you in the near future the priority issues of the Belarusian-Vietnamese agenda, which will outline the main directions of our countries’ interaction for the foreseeable future. I believe that the roadmap for developing cooperation between Belarus and Vietnam should serve as the foundation for joint practical work,» the head of state said.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished To Lam and his family excellent health, happiness, and success, and also peace, wellbeing, and prosperity to the Vietnamese people.
