Lukashenko sets task for Belarusian microelectronics industry

30.01.2026 | 10:51
The task for the national microelectronics industry is to stay half a step ahead by making products that are in demand globally, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said during his visit to Planar, a company operating in the microelectronics industry and recognized as one of the leaders in this field, BelTA has learned.

«This is the future,» the head of state emphasized.

«If you don’t fall behind, you’ll always have work and good money. Not just from us,» Aleksandr Lukashenko told Planar Director General Sergei Avakov. «You have outpaced everything and everyone. Both in Belarus, and in Russia. You’ve gotten ahead of them all.»
«We are the only country that has preserved this production on such a scale. We have preserved everything that remained from the Soviet era. Our time has come. We invested for a reason. We have proven to be in demand,» the head of state said.

Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasized that the microelectronics industry must continue to «keep one step ahead and turn out products that are sought after globally.»
