«We are observing that the number of both air and ground contingents along our western borders has significantly decreased. We carry out combat duty around the clock, monitoring the airspace, and we have recorded a significant drop in the number of flights, both combat and reconnaissance, along our borders. We can confidently say that the situation is currently stable, with no threats,» Andrei Lukyanovich said.

He noted that operational interaction with Poland, Lithuania, and Latvia is ongoing. «We regularly notify them of our flights, and they inform us of flights in the border zone. There was no interaction with Latvia for a while, but recently dialogue has been restored at the operational level. We continue to cooperate with their air forces,» the commander said.

Andrei Lukyanovich also said that the Belarusian Air Force and Air Defense Forces are developing comprehensively. This includes the acquisition of modern weapons and special military equipment, as well as personnel training. «Acquiring equipment is only half the process. We also need to retrain personnel and prepare the infrastructure for operating this aircraft. That is why our main airfields regularly undergo major repairs of runways, parking areas, and equipment storage facilities. Our aviation is prepared to land on both highway sections and prepared sites. Military transport aviation is ready to take off and land on unpaved runways,» he said.

Belarusian pilots, including young ones, are currently taking part in an operational-tactical exercise with live fire at a training ground in Russia, where they will carry out air-to-air guided missile launches. In addition, this week Belarusian pilots are flying Il-76 aircraft to support the Swift Eagle drill in China.
