Minsk Botanical Garden to offer school holiday tours during autumn break

27.10.2026 | 13:00

The Central Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus will offer guided tours for schoolchildren during the autumn holidays, BelTA has learned.

From 1 to 8 November 2026, organized groups will be able to take guided tours of the garden’s exhibition greenhouse. Autumn is a magical season when trees seem to be adorned with garlands of yellow, orange and red, while the air fills with the fragrance of the last flowers, the Botanical Garden noted. Visitors to the greenhouse will be able to embark on a journey through a tropical forest.

Beneath the glass dome, visitors can discover a wide variety of unusual plants, including giant palms, long vines, ancient ginkgo trees, magnolias, sprawling ferns, and much more.

During the tours, children will learn about plants with unusual flowers and delicious fruits, and species used to make fabrics, paints, and musical instruments. The visitors will also hear about plants that have survived for millions of years and continue to thrive today.

The greenhouse’s collection is complemented by its animal residents, including brightly colored parrots, colorful koi carp, and red-eared turtles. All tours are available by advance booking only.
