Myanmar’s parliamentary delegation arrives in Belarus on official visit

A parliamentary delegation from the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, led by Speaker of the Amyotha Hluttaw (National Assembly) Aung Lin Dwe, arrived in Belarus on 20 October, BelTA has learned.

At Minsk National Airport, the delegation was welcomed by Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Republic Igor Brilevich and Chairman of the Standing Commission on International Affairs and National Security of the Council of the Republic Sergei Aleinik.

The official visit, organized at the invitation of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus, will take place on 20–23 October 2026.

The delegation is scheduled to meet with the leadership of the Council of the Republic and visit industrial enterprises, including MTZ and MAZ, the Hi-Tech Park, and the Belarusian State Museum of the Great Patriotic War History.

The highlight of the inter-parliamentary talks will be the signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Council of the Republic and the Amyotha Hluttaw.
