«The document was put together after examining how the administrator interacts with national operators of electronic passport systems, including on the basis of proposals submitted by authorized bodies of the EAEU countries,» the press service noted.
«The steps stipulated by the plan are aimed at improving registries and electronic documents on conformity assessment, at harmonizing the information of electronic passports with documents on conformity assessment as well as at addressing various matters of transmitting customs information. It is a framework plan. At this stage only a list of union acts in need of adjustments has been determined. Specific content of the relevant changes will be worked out later on together with authorized bodies of the member states,» Member of the EEC Board (Minister) for Technical Regulation Alexander Subbotin explained.
The planned activities are scheduled to be implemented before Q2 2027. According to the EEC minister, it will allow eliminating the complications encountered during the exchange of information of electronic passports and identified during the survey of how the administrator interacts with national operators.
