PM: Belarus sees Kyrgyzstan as promising platform for joint ventures

05.06.2026 | 10:24

Belarus views Kyrgyzstan as a promising platform for creating joint production facilities, Belarus’ Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin said during the ceremony to open the Belarus-Kyrgyzstan business forum on 5 June, BelTA has learned.

«Belarus considers Kyrgyzstan not merely as a market for finished products, but as a promising platform for long-term cooperation and the creation of joint high value-added production facilities. We have everything necessary for this: strong political will, transparent rules within the EAEU, and a shared readiness to strengthen economic ties for decades ahead,» Aleksandr Turchin emphasized.

Industrial cooperation priorities are clearly defined in two roadmaps covering the periods up to 2027 and 2030. «Belarusian machinery has long and deservedly been in demand in Kyrgyzstan, but today’s realities require a shift from simple trade to the implementation of deep cooperation projects. It is important that financial mechanisms for joint projects have already been established: a basic agreement has been signed between the Development Bank of Belarus and the State Development bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, enabling the use of accessible credit resources. I call for intensifying direct dialogue as much as possible. We need active exchanges of experience, management practices, and modern technological solutions. Use the opportunities of this forum to build strong personal contacts and find new partners,» the prime minister noted.

Belarus and Kyrgyzstan are connected by a solid foundation: shared history, membership in common integration structures, and the complementary nature of their national economies. «Today we are at a symbolic stage, when political trust between the leaders of our countries is transforming into concrete economic results,» Aleksandr Turchin stressed.

«We are committed to decisive and effective work. Our task is to turn the agreements reached into concrete contracts and functioning enterprises,» the prime minister concluded.

The forum includes numerous business negotiations between companies from both countries across various sectors. The signing of bilateral documents is expected following the discussions.
The Belarusian head of the government is currently on an official visit to Kyrgyzstan.
