«Belarusian President and Chairman of the Belarusian People’s Congress Aleksandr Grigoryevich Lukashenko has instructed that the third meeting of the 7th Belarusian People’s Congress be convened in Minsk on 17-18 December 2026. Let me recall that, by a resolution of the Presidium of the Belarusian People’s Congress of 11 February 2025, an organizing committee was established to prepare for meetings of the 7th Belarusian People’s Congress. Today we are holding the first meeting of our organizing committee this year,» Aleksandr Turchin said.

This year is a landmark one for the Belarusian People’s Congress. It marks 30 years since the date of its first meeting, which took place in October 1996. «I believe that in this anniversary year the third meeting of the 7th Belarusian People’s Congress must be held at the highest organizational level,» the prime minister emphasized.
