It is important to understand the current needs of modern women, Olga Shpilevskaya is convinced. The main message of the forum is to show young women how important they are and how involved they are in the country’s life. «It is always interesting to watch the work of the sections, the thoughts of young people, their aspirations, goals and objectives, in order to understand which direction they want to move in,» she added.

In her opinion, young people today do not see career and family as mutually exclusive; on the contrary, they have the opportunity to successfully combine these spheres, and this will always be relevant. «The role of mother is also important to them — it is the most significant thing that we always note. And it is good that our young women talk about family and values,» the chairperson explained.

Around 200 young women aged 18 to 31 working in the real sector of the economy took part in the forum. The forum is aimed at unlocking the potential of young women, shaping a positive view of family and children, and also providing support on issues of family wellbeing. In addition, it became a platform for open dialogue, the exchange of experience and the generation of new ideas. The organizers were the youth wing of the Belarusian Women’s Union public association and the Youth Council under the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus.

The first women’s forum was held in Minsk in September 2025. In 2026, declared the Year of the Belarusian Woman, the forum continued the tradition of supporting women’s initiatives and leadership. «We always look at the response of participants at our events. And today it is clear that the forum is in demand. Young women want to gather, they have plans to hold a third forum, and they understand which topics they still want to discuss. This has already become a good and kind tradition,» Olga Shpilevskaya added.
