On the first day of the multi-day competition, athletes competed in a 4-kilometer prologue. The individual time trial featured 56 participants from Belarus, Russia, Uzbekistan, and France. 18-year-old Ilya Slesarenko posted the fastest time, completing the course in 4 minutes and 59 seconds. He edged out Denis Mazur by just one second, while Aleksandr Sychugov rounded out the top three, finishing 0.05 seconds behind the leader.
Stage 1 on 13 August will feature a 123-kilometer group race, starting at Brest Fortress and finishing in Belovezhskaya Pushcha. The multi-day cycling event will conclude in Slonim on 17 August.

The men’s national open road race championship, Tour of Belarus, has begun in Belovezhskaya Pushcha, BelTA has learned.
