The Belarusian delegation’s participation in the forum began with a series of bilateral meetings held by Chairman of the Supreme Court of Belarus Andrei Shved. During his meeting with Iran’s Judiciary Chief Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Ejei, Andrei Shved highlighted the high level of cooperation achieved between the two countries in political, economic, scientific, technological, and other fields. He also stressed the importance of mutual support on international legal platforms.
Cooperation between the courts of general jurisdiction of Belarus and the courts of Iran is carried out under a treaty on legal assistance in civil and criminal matters, the chairman of the Supreme Court of Belarus noted. According to him, the parties fulfill their obligations in good faith, and no systemic issues have been identified. He assured that the Supreme Court of Belarus remains open to a productive partnership built on the principles of mutual respect, trust, and equality.
