The speaker emphasized that all platforms and events of the Uzbekistan-Belarus Interparliamentary Forum act as an effective catalyst for economic cooperation between Belarus and Uzbekistan, driving mutual trade growth. «Last year, trade between our nations reached $854 million. In H1 2026, it surged by 34%. I am confident that by the end of 2026, we will pass the historic $1 billion mark,» she said.
Natalya Kochanova emphasized that the potential for cooperation is significantly higher. «We face an ambitious task — to reach the $2 billion mark. It was highlighted on the sidelines of the forum that even this is not the limit,» she added.
«Belarus is ready to further increase supplies of cargo and passenger vehicles, agricultural machinery, optical equipment, petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, and food products to Uzbekistan. In turn, we are interested in expanding imports of fruit and vegetable products and non-ferrous metals,» the speaker noted.
