The delegation arrived in Belarus on an overnight flight and was welcomed at Minsk National Airport by Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Igor Brilevich and Chairman of the Standing Commission on International Affairs and National Security Sergei Aleinik.

The visit comes at the invitation of Chairwoman of the Council of the Republic Natalya Kochanova, and aims to give a new impetus to the Belarus-Pakistan dialogue while promoting mutual interests in trade, economic, and humanitarian affairs.
During the official visit, which runs through 26 September, the Pakistani MPs are scheduled to hold talks with the leadership of the Council of the Republic and the House of Representatives, as well as meetings with government officials.
The key outcome of the inter-parliamentary dialogue will be the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus and the Senate of Pakistan.
The parliamentary delegation is also scheduled to visit the Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ), the Minsk Scientific and Practical Center for Surgery, Transplantology and Hematology, and other sites.
