The speaker outlined key priorities for strategic partnership, interregional cooperation, and strengthening fraternal ties between the two nations. According to Natalya Kochanova, the leaders of both states — Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko and Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev — act as the main architects and driving force behind the dynamic development of bilateral relations. In particular, it is the dialogue built on mutual trust and the reciprocal visits of the heads of state that have set the strategic vector and large-scale benchmarks for cooperation. The core course is focused on the progressive growth of trade, deepening industrial cooperation, and the unconditional fulfillment of all top-level agreements.

«The interparliamentary forum in Khiva has once again proven its effectiveness as an influential working platform that translates presidential instructions into concrete practical results. Tangible proof of the transition from traditional trade to deep industrial cooperation and economic integration is the signing of 59 direct contracts between enterprises and organizations of Belarus and Uzbekistan over the two days of the forum. The agreements cover the establishment of joint ventures, mutual product supplies, as well as cooperation in machinery manufacturing, the food and chemical industries, healthcare, and tourism. The documents were signed for a total of around Br420 million,» Natalya Kochanova said.

The speaker highlighted the extensive interregional presence at the forum, noting that representatives of local assemblies of all tiers, from rural to regional and Minsk city levels, joined the agenda discussions.
Natalya Kochanova also noted that humanitarian cooperation channels and ties in science and education are expanding, with 550 agreements active between the two countries’ universities alone. The discussion also touched upon the development of youth policy. In particular, the speaker urged to carefully preserve the truth about the shared heroism of ancestors during the Great Patriotic War and to develop patriotic projects. One of them, the Memory Train, has been bringing together youth from different countries for several years, helping to pass down the ideals of peace, order, and justice to new generations.

According to the speaker of the Council of the Republic, cooperation between enterprise heads, ministries, and the governments of the two countries is developing quite effectively. «The industrial exhibitions and dialogue platforms in Khiva have clearly proven that we are building long-term cooperation in machinery manufacturing, food, chemical, and agricultural industries, translating open dialogue into real economic growth for Belarus and Uzbekistan,» she emphasized, expressing confidence that the decisions made and the Khiva Declaration will make a significant contribution to the prosperity of the two brotherly nations.
Natalya Kochanova also announced that one of Belarus’ regions will host the next forum.
