The third meeting of the 7th Belarusian People’s Congress must be held at the highest organizational level, Belarusian Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin said during a meeting of the organizing committee for the 7th Belarusian People’s Congress on 22 September, BelTA has learned.

The Institute of Sociology of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus conducted a comprehensive nationwide sociological survey in July-August 2026 at the request of the Belarusian Institute for Strategic Research (BISR). Among other things, Belarusians were asked about their attitudes toward attracting labor migrants to Belarus. The majority of respondents said they viewed them neutrally as long as they complied with the law. A BelTA correspondent asked residents of Vitebsk Oblast for their views.
