Belarus and the DPRK are preparing to sign a bilateral agreement on visa-free travel for citizens, Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxim Ryzhenkov said on the air of the Belarus 1 TV channel, BelTA has learned.

Since 1 January 2026, Belarus has welcomed 159,906 travelers from 38 countries included in the visa-waiver program. The majority of travelers came from Lithuania, Latvia and Poland, BelTA learned from the State Border Committee of Belarus. 

More than 153,000 foreigners have visited Belarus without visas since the beginning of the year, the State Border Committee told BelTA

Beijing received a total of 2.667 million inbound tourists in the first five months of this year, up 35.3 percent year-on-year, demonstrating the rising popularity of «China Travel.»

Since 1 January 2026, Belarus has welcomed 56,845 travelers from 38 countries included in the visa-waiver program, BelTA learned from the State Border Committee.
